With more than 2 decades of work and travel in over 30 countries, and residences on 3 continents, Aubrie is a seasoned traveler. She takes pride in her “when in Rome” attitude that leads her off the beaten path and into the heart of local culture. Her open-minded curiosity and daring, combined with her respect for all colors and customs of humanity, have opened many doors that are normally closed to tourists. From being the first foreigner invited onto a secluded island in the South Pacific, to being the only woman welcomed into a Buddhist ceremony in a remote Laotian village, her experience is that when you approach people with love, respect and a willingness to learn from them, unimaginable doors open wherever you go. And while you’re there, try the local fare (fried tree ants with garlic and chili are her favorite).
